Westfield Police Dept. responds to attempted robbery at Huntington Bank

Westfield Police Dept. officers responded to a call for an attempted robbery on Dec. 21 at Huntington Bank in the 3500 block of Ind. 32.

According to a press release from WPD, officers learned the suspect entered the bank and asked to make a withdrawal, then passing a note to the teller which demanded money. Prior to obtaining the money, the suspect fled the bank on foot.

Noblesville Police Dept. officers and a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office K9 assisted WPD with a perimeter and track. The suspect was not located.

The suspect is a black male in his early thirties. He was wearing a striped knit hat, black-rimmed glasses, a black jacket and he has a beard. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the WPD Criminal Investigation Division at 317-773-1300 or 317-804-3200.
