Producing partners Dustin Klein and Tom Alvarez have announced their Magic Thread Cabaret will be a resident company in The Cat, 254 SW 1st Ave, in Carmel.
The Cat, owned by Will Wood, has theater-style seats and can be configured for various capacities up to approximately 150 seats.
“With the proximity of The Cat to the Center for the Performing Arts and home of the Great American Songbook Foundation, it just makes sense for us to attempt to draw fans of the Great American Songbook, which that organization has developed so well in the Carmel area,” said artistic director Klein in a news release.
Magic Threat Cabaret featured 2015 Songbook Ambassador Lucas DeBard in performances in November in Indianapolis.
Magic Thread Cabaret will feature Keith Potts, “Here I Am” March 2-3; Katy Gentry, “Judy Garland LIVE!” July 6-7; Corby York, “Heart & Music” Sept. 7-8 and Melissa Schott, “The Key of Me” Nov. 16-17.
The four artists will perform two shows each night at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the individual performances are $35/$25/$15. To reserve seats, call 317-750-2484 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. A Magic Thread Cabaret subscription that includes all four shows can be purchased by emailing email@example.com. New subscribers will save 20 percent off each price level until Feb. 1.
