After Friday’s shooting at Noblesville West Middle School, Noblesville Schools Supt. Beth Niedermeyer, in a statement sent to parents and staff, said school will resume Tuesday, May 29, as normal, except at the middle school where the shooting occurred.

The district will offer counseling services for students, parents and staff this weekend.

Open counseling hours will take place at NHS for teachers and staff from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 26 and 28 and for parents and students from 1 to 3 p.m. May 26 and 28.

Individuals affected by the shooting also are encouraged to call the Hoosier Crisis Counseling Hotline at 1-800-985-5990 or visit i-cart.org/resources for counseling resources, including how to discuss tragedy with children.

Although the other nine schools in the district will return to finish out the last week of school before summer break, counselors will be on standby for all students and staff. West Middle School only will be open for counseling of West Middle School students and families from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
