Organizers offer tips to get the most out of CarmelFest

As CarmelFest quickly approaches July 3 and 4, organizers are encouraging guests to take note of several reminders to fully enjoy the festival.

Wristbands: CarmelFest implemented wristbands this year in place of ride tickets. The bands offer unlimited use for guests and sell for $25 per day for KidsZone and $30 per day for ExtremeZone. Guests will receive a $5 discount if purchased before July 1 at carmelfest.ticketleap.com. For $100, guests can purchase a Golden Wristband that covers unlimited use both days and enables attendees to jump to the start of lines, except the zipline.

Spark buttons: Spark buttons are on sale for $5 at the Carmel Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, concerts at the Gazebo on Wednesdays and from Rotarians throughout the community. They will be available at the festival as well. A purchase includes the button and a coupon pack valued at more than $250. Proceeds assist with costs of the fireworks display.

Parade: CBS4 Indy will use its Facebook channel to live stream the Centier Bank CarmelFest Parade July 4. CBS4 also will provide a link to watch the parade on demand. Coverage will be broadcast from the parade review stand on E. Carmel Drive.

Fireworks: Tune your radio to WHJE 91.3 FM, the Carmel High School radio station, to enjoy music synchronized with the fireworks display.

Photo sharing: CarmelFest organizers want to share your photos from the event, so be sure to use #CarmelFest when posting pictures from the festival.

No pets: CarmelFest instituted a no-pets policy to protect animals from the heat. Please adhere to this rule for the safety of guests and pets.
