The Carmel Rotary Club named Stephen Terry as the 2018 ROSA winner. The Rotary Outstanding Service Award is given to a non-rotarian who is recognized for outstanding community service.

ROSA Winner
Terry

Terry, 95, is a Rhodes Scholar, former Marine and lawyer by profession. He volunteered at the Carmel Clay Public Library, Little Sisters of the Poor, Carmel Plan Commission and at the Carmel High School Top 25 dinner as an inspirational speaker.

“He lives the Rotary four-way test and has been involved in the community,” said John Stanley, Rotary president. “His actions are reflective of what Rotary stands for.”

ROSA nominees must be a Carmel resident, serve in Carmel or Clay Township, exemplify “service above self” and meet the Rotary four-way test: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Terry will ride on the Rotary float during the Centier Bank CarmelFest Parade July 4. He also will receive a plaque at the Rotary Plaza on the Monon Trail and the club will make a donation to the Rotary Foundation in his name.
