A two-phase project including road improvements to North Range Line Road will begin on or after Aug. 3.

The construction will span from 8th Street, also known as Smokey Row Road, to Clay Terrace and will include a short closure of the roundabout at 8th Street and Range Line Road. Following the closure, restrictions to Range Line Road will be in place.

The first phase will retrofit the existing roundabout, and crews will make modifications to the outside curb lanes to improve traffic flow in the roundabout. This portion of the project is scheduled to be complete by Aug. 14. During this phase, the roundabout at 8th Street and Range Line Road will be closed to through traffic in all directions.

Once the first phase of construction is complete, the second phase of the project will begin. This phase will include the installation of a storm water collection system and pedestrian connectivity from the roundabout to just south of Clay Terrace. This phase will last until November.

Range Line Road will remain open during the second phase of construction but only to southbound traffic. Northbound traffic will be directed east or west at the 8th Street roundabout. During this phase, all businesses on north Range Line Road will remain open, but access will be from the north.

The Hagan Burke Trail will remain open during construction, and it will allow additional access to the businesses on North Range Line Road to pedestrians and bicycles.
