Ryan Oliver Hughey, 47, of Carmel, died Aug. 24. He was born May 8, 1971, son of Robert and Dallana Page Hughey.
Ryan received Christian baptism at the age of 15 at Hope Church in Indianapolis. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Ryan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was trained as an emergency medical technician and served as a Naval Hospital Corpsman from 1990-1994.
Ryan loved music. He attended countless musical shows and festivals. His smooth voice and dynamic personality made him a karaoke master. He also was an avid vinyl collector. He collected nearly 7,000 records and could describe each one individually.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, Brandon (Anne) and Clinton (Shawna); sister, Sarah; and seven nieces and nephews.
