Town of Zionsville announces official trick-or-treat hours, community events

The official trick-or-treat hours in Zionsville will be 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Get spooky in the Village

In addition to Oct. 31 trick-or-treating, Zionsville offers several Halloween celebrations.

Annual Boone Village Halloween Party –  Oct. 25 5:30-7 p.m.

Boone Village merchants offer safe trick-or-treating, with the Zionsville Fire Dept. and Zionsville Police Dept. present. A costume contest begins at 6 p.m. Trophies are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place costumes by age groups. For more, facebook.com/events/2105368169497526.

Trick or Trees at Zion Nature Center – Oct. 27, 1-3 p.m.

Enjoy apple cider and roasting marshmallows in costume by a campfire at the family friendly event hosted by Zions Nature Center. Registration is full, but a waitlist is available. For more, visit zionsville-in.gov/466/October-Programs.

Pumpkins & Hayrides at Lions Park – Oct. 28, 2-5 p.m.

Pumpkins & Hayrides is a free Lions Club event in Zionsville Lions Park. Lions Club offers pumpkin painting, hayrides, bounce houses, games and food for attendees. For more, visit zionsvillelions.com/events/pumpkins-hayrides.

Halloween Dog Walk at Zion Nature Center – Oct. 30, 6-7 p.m.

Dress yourself and your dog in costume for this fun group dog walk through Zion Nature Sanctuary, which counts as a group walk for Tails on the Trails. For more, visit zionsville-in.gov/466/October-Programs.

Martine Dentistry’s ninth annual Operation Gratitude’s Candy Buy Back – Nov. 6, 4-6 p.m.

Martine Dentistry will partner with Operation Gratitude, an organization that makes care packages for first responders, veterans and members of the military, to buy back leftover Halloween candy. Children will receive $1 for every pound of candy donated up to $10.
