Traders Point Creamery will host its annual Christmas On The Farm event Dec. 8 and 9 in the Red Barn. The day is divided into three time slots: 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There will be live music, holiday-themed crafts, a “sleigh” hayride and visits with Santa. Hot chocolate, eggnog and a festive small menu will be offered at the Jingle Bell Café inside the barn.

“The families who come to Christmas On The Farm often appreciate the authentic, natural and non-commercialized holiday experience we offer,” said Lauren Bobbitt, director of communications for Traders Point Creamery. “It’s an annual holiday tradition for so many families. For lots of the kids, our Santa is all they have ever known, so they think he is the real one.”

Santa has been with the creamery since the first holiday event 11 years ago. Bobbitt said he is a highlight of the experience.

“The farm part of Christmas On The Farm is another thing that makes this celebration so unique,” Bobbitt said. “The festivities take place in our historic 1870s barn, surrounded by our beautiful dairy farm that families can enjoy during the hayrides.”

Bobbitt said the creamery does its best to keep the event simple and meaningful. TPC also serves organic holiday-inspired food and drinks.

“Both days of the event are nearly sold out, and there is no admission without advance ticket purchase,” Bobbitt said. “If families can’t join us this year, we’d love for them to come in the future. Tickets usually go on sale the first week of November and typically sell out within a couple weeks.”
