Zionsville’s Tri Kappa Chapter hosted its annual Santa Breakfast Dec. 1 in the Village and raised more than $3,000 – all of which will be returned to Zionsville schools and Boone County nonprofit organizations through Tri Kappa’s grant distribution process.

The event had a capacity of 225 people and sold out.

“The event went very well thanks to all of the support from the restaurant owners and merchants that have partnered with Tri Kappa year after year,” said Rae Hostetler, a member of Tri Kappa since 2012. “They seem to enjoy this as much as our members. The smiles on the kids’ faces mean so much to all of us.”

Zionsville’s Tri Kappa Chapter President Amy Morrison received great feedback from families waiting in line to see Santa, according to Hostetler.

“One family told her this is an annual event that kicks off their holiday season,” Hostetler said. “They said they look forward to it every year. We had rain this year, but we appreciated how families weathered the rainy day and made the most of it.”
