As the primary trash service in the City of Westfield, Ray’s Trash Service recommends the following guidelines for holiday trash collection and Christmas tree pickup.
Each household may dispose of one Christmas tree per year. Christmas trees will be picked up through Jan. 15.
Ray’s Trash employees will not be working on New Year’s Day, and residents will experience a one-day delay in their normal trash pickup.
Regular trash collection occurs between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Have all material to the curb by 6:30 a.m. on your day of collection. All material must be placed within the carts or be contained within an overage bag. Overage bags can be purchased at the Dept. of Public Works or the Westfield Pharmacy on Union Street for $1 per bag.
Residents should make sure all carts are at least three feet away from any other objects (other carts, mailboxes, cars, etc.). The automated arm needs room to service your containers properly.
