Please tell us there is more to the story concerning Kevin Russell’s café business being forced out of the library .
I agree with the two previous opinions on this topic (letters to the editor by Doug Knott and Steve Baranyk), this requires a complete and thorough explanation by the library board.
On the surface, most folks believe there is a lack of transparency here and an open display of local favoritism.
We all want to assume there is more to the story, but the longer the library board stays silent, the more people sense the injustice of it all.
The library board is an assembly of “appointed” positions. Some of those appointments are made by the Carmel City Council, Hamilton County Council and Hamilton County Commissioners.
If the library board is not going to respond, should we as citizens reach to our respective council members and commissioners for insight?
Library board members, please be transparent and respond to the community that supports you.
