A fundraising event for Gregory Glade Hancock’s “La Casa Azul: The Musical” is set for 7 to 9 p.m. April 11 at Prime 47, 11300 Clay Terrace Blvd., Carmel. The cocktail reception featuring Mexican appetizers, sangria, wine, beer, a live auction and entertainment while listening to about the new “La Casa Azul” and developments with the production.
Hancock’s original “La Casa Azul,” about Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, made its debut at The Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel in 2015. The musical will be held at Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre in Indianapolis July 11-28.
