Vine Healthcare, a Carmel medical practice that offers traditional and holistic treatments, will soon renovate its facilities at 40 N. Range Line Rd.
Documents filed with the City of Carmel in early 2019 showed that plans originally included a complete redevelopment of the 4,236-square-foot space, which would have added more parking spaces and an additional 7,408 square feet. Vine Healthcare CEO, co-owner and physician Dr. Ellen Antoine said the scope of the project has changed since the initial filings but is confident that a smaller-scale renovation can move forward this fall.
“We’re actually in the process of deciding not to completely demolish the building, but are regrouping in terms of remodeling and adding on to the building,” Antoine said.
Although Antoine is unsure how many square feet will be added in the renovation, she wants to add between six to eight offices and expand the front office, waiting area and parking lot.
The expansion would allow additional providers, who offer traditional and holistic medical services, to practice at Vine Healthcare.
“We’re looking to bring in some other medical professionals who are in line with our philosophy of function and integrated medicine,” she said. “We’re looking at traditional medical providers as well as providers such as chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists. We’re fairly open to what else they’d like to offer, so it’s a one-stop shop for our patients’ needs.
“Our whole goal, initially, was to be able to do that, to add additional providers because we are bursting at the seams. We have months of waiting lists, and we don’t have the ability to see as many patients as want to come see us.”
