Fishers resident Bryon Foley, board of directors chair for Indiana Parkinson's Foundation, gives opening remarks before the start of 2019's "Choose to Move" 10k/5k/1-mile fun-run race benefitting IPF. (Photos by Ben Stout) Prior to the timed race, a short ceremonial walk took place for those affected by Parkinson's disease and those running for family members afflicted with the condition. Indianapolis resident Jose De La Cruz started strong in this year's "Choose to Move" 5K. He finished 26th overall in the 5K with a time of 24:33. General surgeon Dr. Joseph Baer finished fourth overall in this years "Choose to Move" 5K race with an elapsed time of 17:54. Matthew Hakey finished with a time of 18:25 for a fourth-place finish in the men's 5K division of the "Choose to Move" race.
