Male student no longer enrolled at NHS after fight with female peer

On Sept. 26, Noblesville Schools announced a high school student will not be returning after a fight with a classmate.

A video posted to social media, recorded by a student in the classroom where the fight took place, shows an argument between a male and female student before the female student shoves the male student. The male student retaliates, punching the female student in the face, knocking her into a group of desks and onto the floor. The male student then yells profanities over the girl while she is still on the floor, then kicks her before walking away.

Because they are minors, the names of the students have been withheld.

Noblesville Schools officials said school resource officers responded to the incident, and the district communicated the following to parents:

“You may have heard about a fight today at NHS. As you know, student safety is our top priority and we take physical altercations very seriously. They are a rare occurrence at NHS and are dealt with swiftly and seriously in collaboration with our Noblesville Police Department school resource officers.

“Regarding the incident today, staff and school resource officers responded immediately and followed our safety process and procedure. Please be assured we have addressed both individuals involved for this serious violation of our code of conduct. The main aggressor will not be returning to school.”
