Financial Center First Credit Union, 7101 E. 56th St., Lawrence, recently awarded Lorena Couttolenc Romero with the first Pamela Gemmer Memorial Scholarship. Romero was selected the inaugural scholarship recipient for her commitment to arts and education through her ties with Ballet Folklorico Mosaicos, an organization dedicated to teaching, preserving and sharing the heritage of Mexican folkloric dance.
