The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 481 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 28,705 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus following corrections to yesterday’s total.
More than 41 percent of ICU beds and more than 80 percent of ventilators were available as of Sunday.
A total of 1,678 Hoosiers have died of COVID-19, an increase of 57 more than yesterday. Another 146 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record, following a correction to yesterday’s total. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 189,330 tests have been reported to the ISDH, up from 183,912 on Monday.
