State reports more than 2,000 total COVID-19 deaths

The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 430 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 35,237 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus, following corrections.

As of today, nearly 44 percent of state ICU beds and more than 83 percent of ventilators are available.

A total of 2,022 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 46 since yesterday. Another 175 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 271,919 tests have been reported to the ISDH, up from 265,896 on Monday.
