In  recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, fire fighters across Hamilton County will trade in their blue uniforms for pink shirts while on duty Oct. 20-22.  Fire fighters hope to raise awareness through these efforts as well as raise donations for two cancer organizations.

IAFF Local 4416 and fire fighters in Cicero, Fishers, Jackson Township, Noblesville, Sheridan  and Westfield will participate in “Care Enough to Wear Pink.”

“Fire Fighters for a Cure” T-shirts are available to the public to purchase beginning Oct. 20. All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Services of Hamilton County and the Fire Fighters Cancer Support Network.  T-shirts are $15 each and can be purchased at the following fire department headquarters:

  • Fishers Fire Department – 2 Municipal Drive Fishers
  • Noblesville Fire Department – 135 S. 9th Street Noblesville
  • Westfield Fire Department – 17535 Dartown Road, Westfield
