Open burning ban lifted for Noblesville, others in the county

    Current in Noblesville

Hamilton County officials have upgraded the current ban on open burning in the county. Although it remains in effect for portions of the county, the ban has been lifted in the following jurisdictions:

Fall Creek & Delaware Townships including the Town of Fishers
Clay Township including the City of Carmel
Washington Township including the City of Westfield
Noblesville Township including the City of Noblesville

Residents of these areas will again be allowed to burn outdoors, within the guidelines of state and local ordinances. This includes fire pits, recreational fires and grills

Residents still need to use good judgment when burning. This includes a safe location, a way to extinguish the fire if needed, and a competent adult watching the fire at all times until it is out. Call your local fire department if you are unsure of what can and cannot be burned.

A ban on open burning remains in effect for the following jurisdictions in Hamilton County until further notice:

Adams Township including the Town of Sheridan
Jackson Township including the Towns of Atlanta, Arcadia, and Cicero
White River Township
Wayne Township

Please contact your local fire department with any questions or concerns regarding this ban.
