FISHERS, IN — Fishers Town Council Member Art Levine will resign his council seat effective July 21, 2011. Levine’s departure from his district 4 seat is prompted by family related issues that require him to move out of state.
“It has been an honor and privilege to have served the good people of Fishers,” said Fishers Town Council Member Art Levine. “My goal was to serve with honor and integrity and I hope I achieved it. Living in Fishers the past 25 years has been a blessing and my wife, Judy and I will miss everyone.”
“The Fishers Town Council is very thankful to council member Art Levine for his years of service on the council,” said Fishers Town Council President Scott Faultless. “We wish him the best of luck as he moves to the west coast.”
Levine has been a member of the Fishers Town Council since April 2006, also serving on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund. He was the council liaison for the Sister Cities Association of Fishers, IN and long time member of the Fishers station Kiwanis club.
