Sheridan Road to reopen Monday

A $765, 700 construction project to replace two drainage structures on Ind. State Road 38 spanning from Lindley Ditch west of U.S. Highway 31 is nearing completion. The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to reopen the state highway—also known as Sheridan Road—during daytime hours Monday.

When Ind. State Road 38 traffic is restored Monday, drivers will be allowed to turn left or right—or continue across U.S. 31; however, U.S. 31 traffic will not be allowed to make left turns from either direction at Ind. State Road 38 due to large-scale construction at the intersection.  Right turns will be allowed.

The Ind. State Road 38 closure east of U.S. 31 at Little Chicago Road will continue for several more weeks.

The new Ind. State Road 38 culverts are at Dunbar Road and Oakridge Road.
