FACT presentation at Westfield High School
The Westfield High School and Westfield Middle School PTOs are sponsoring “An Eye Opening Discussion: Teenage Drug Use” presented by the Hamilton County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team tonight at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Did you know that in 2010 more teens admitted to smoking marijuana than cigarettes?
Drug use is far too common with our teens and the Hamilton County FACT wants to give parents the resources to help end this behavior.
Join the FACT team as they present, to PARENTS ONLY, the facts surrounding Hamilton County teen drug use.
FACT is a multi-jurisdictional team consisting of the Carmel Police Department, the Fishers Police Department, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the Noblesville Police Department and the Westfield Police Department that is specially trained to work together on fatality or serious injury crash cases involving the use of drugs and/or alcohol anywhere in Hamilton County.
Since these team members are specially trained, they will be able to help parents: 1) recognize the signs and symptoms of drug use and ways teens hide abuse; 2) learn about the common drugs that our teens are using (including a discussion of K2/Spice and Bath Salts); and 3) give some proactive tips that can help prevent drug use in our teens.
