BREAKING: Carjacking at Carmel Marsh

On Thursday, January 12, 2012 at approximately 12:40am Carmel Police received a report of a carjacking in the Marsh parking lot at 2140 E. 116th Street. The victims, two females had been sitting inside the car in the parking lot when approached by two males who asked to use a cell phone. The victims then agreed to provide a ride to a nearby gas station. Upon entering the vehicle, one of the suspects indicated he had a gun and demanded money and other valuables from the women. The suspects then let the women out of the car nearby before driving away with the stolen vehicle. The victims were not injured.

The abandoned vehicle was located a short distance away in the 300 block of E. Carmel Drive. K9 units were used to assist in tracking the suspects. At this time, the suspects have not been located.

The suspects are as follows:

Black Male
6’2” to 6’3” tall
Approximately 20 to 30 years old
Heavy Build

White Male
Approximately 6’1” tall
Thin Build
Unknown age

The case continues to be investigated.
