COM Tim MorganThe Westfield Police Dept. lost one of its own on Jan. 4, when Sgt. Tim Morgan passed away after a long battle with cancer. Morgan came to Westfield in 2001 after serving with the Frankfort Police Dept. for several years, where he had at one time been elevated to chief of police.Morgan held the rank of sergeant at the Westfield Police Dept., but according to his colleagues, he was most proud of being a father to three children.Morgan will be remembered by his coworkers for his strength, courage and perseverance.

“Tim had many friends throughout the community, by whom he will be remembered as being friendly, quiet and fair,” Joel Rush, Westfield Police Dept. chief said.

Rush said Morgan’s character of never giving up was an inspiration to the community.

“I have never witnessed anyone display the amount of courage and perseverance as Tim,” Rush said.“He had been knocked down so many times last year due to his illness, but he continued to bounce back up, put his uniform on and come to work. He was a true inspiration to the entire department.”
