Carmel Arts Council creates Auxiliary Division

0

Due to the many requests for the World’s Smallest Children’s Art Gallery, certified by Guinness Book of World Records in September 1999, to be open more than Sundays, the Carmel Arts Council has answered this by organizing an Auxiliary Division starting January 12, 2012.

Nine qualified ladies were welcomed at a training session held at Soho Cafe, 620 South Range Line Road, Carmel, the business of Vivian Lawhead, co-chair of the Auxiliary with Donna Tutwiler.

The Auxiliary members will help the Council in its many endeavors to promote the Arts in Carmel as well as making the gallery exhibits available to the public during each week and the bi-monthly Art Walks.

Attendance at the gallery at 40 W. Main Street, Carmel, has risen from approximately 3500 for several years to 4042 in 2011.
