The International Talent Academy invites you to its fourth annual gala, “International Carnivale: An Evening of Dance and Wine,” March 4 from 5 p.m. to 9p.m. at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. The event is in celebration of ITA’s five-year anniversary and a fundraiser for the performing arts programs ITA offers for children and adults. A portion raised will help to fund sponsorships for underprivileged youth to attend the ITA’s summer camp programs. More than 400 students take year-round piano, ballroom dance, etiquette, theater and many other classes at the Monon Center and other ITA locations. Tatyana Komarova, founder of ITA, formed the organization in 2006 as a result of her personal passion for the performing arts and early brain development.

Here is what a couple of parents had to say about the ITA’s classes: “ITA’s American Girl program has been an incredible experience for my daughter, and I feel so fortunate such an opportunity is available. The content of the program is unlike any class available elsewhere, teaching the girls excellent core values, how to make good choices in day-to-day situations and how to treat themselves and others with respect. My daughter came home from every class having learned something very valuable in everyday life and feeling so good inside …”

Julia J. Bowman, owner of the Primrose School at West Clay and Bridgewater:

“Our schools have had a strong relationship with the ITA for several years … Parents are happy to have their children receiving quality piano lessons while at preschool, and are even more pleased with the results. It is our hope we can continue to offer this program to our families through the International Talent Academy.”

This year’s ITA gala will offer guests a sample of international cuisine and wines, a Salsa dance lesson and dance performances, including a ballroom dance sampling from their young dancers ages 6-8, celebrity guests, a silent auction and a “Best Mask” contest!
