The Zionsville Lions Club is excited to team with the 2012 Partners in the Park, the Zionsville Merchants Association and the community of Zionsville for the EGGnormous Egg Hunt on April 7. The festivities begin at 9 a.m., with the egg hunt kicking off at 10 a.m.
Marsh Supermarkets will be sponsoring the “Fresh Ideas” Breakfast for guests for a donation to the park.
Taking place again this year will be free photographs with the Easter Bunny (sponsored by Carpenter Realty), balloons (sponsored by Goddard), face painting (sponsored by Small Blessings), the Peyton Manning Children’s hospital tent and the Kids BMV with mascots such as Roarie the Lion, St.Vincent Bear, Flex from Mite-E-Duct and others. Kids’ prizes will include candy and contributions from local merchants. Age groups will be broken down to 1- to 2-year-olds, 3- to 4-year-olds, 5- to 6-year-olds and 7-year-olds and older.
Control Tech Heating and Air and Mite-E-Ducts will hide more than 13,000 eggs in the park, and the Zionsville Merchants Association will drop more than 400 rubber ducks for extra surprises.
A big Lions-roar thank you to the Hearth at Tudor Gardens, the Life Skills Class at Zionsville Community High School, the Key Club students and the Michigan RoadKohl’s store for the volunteers who helped stuff thousands of eggs. Thank you also to the generous donation from the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program to the park.
If you have Easter eggs after the holiday you’d like to recycle, they can be dropped off at Akard True Value Hardware, or given to a Lions member to be used again next year.
