Registration for kindergarten students and first-graders new to Westfield Washington Schools will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at each elementary school.
With the recent legislative session, the full-day kindergarten grant was fully funded. This allows the district to offer full-day kindergarten without tuition costs – there will be textbook and student fees.
At registration, information will begathered on how many parents are interested in a half-day-only program. This will allow the district to determine exactly what type of program will be provided and where it will be located.
A child must be age 5 or older on Sept. 1 to enter kindergarten. To register a student, bring the child’s birth certificate, Social Security number, proof of residency (a copy of the purchase, lease/rental agreement or utility bill, Indiana driver’s license or a copy of a filed IRS form), adoption papers (if applicable), custody papers (if applicable), immunization records and emergency contact information.
The district offers Before &After Care. For more information on the BAC program, visit www.wws.k12.in.us/subsite/dist/page/and-after-care-328.
