The Center for the Performing Arts today announced a performance by Melissa Etheridge. Tickets for the November 9 performance at the Palladium go on sale Monday, August 20 starting at 7 a.m. online at www.TheCenterPresents.org At 10 a.m., tickets are available at the Palladium box office and by phone at 317-843-3800. The Coca Cola Zero Pop Series concert is at 8 p.m. and is sponsored by Reis Nichols.

Etheridge is an Oscar and two-time Grammy winner. Her North American tour kicks-off in October to support her latest studio album, 4th Street Feeling (set for release on Sept. 4 on Island Records). Etheridge wrote 12  new songs for the album, which features Blair Sinta on drums, Brett Simons on bass, and Zac Rae on keyboards. Etheridge takes the lead on vocals, piano, harmonica, banjitar and some of her most stirring lead guitar work to date. In late 2011, Melissa was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and this fall, will be honored by the National Women’s Museum of Art in Washington DC with her inclusion in the exhibition, “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power.”
