The twenty-third Citizen’s Police Academy facilitated by FPD begins Sept. 18 and applications are available now. The academy will run for 12 weeks and includes training in criminal law, traffic stops, weapons familiarization, self defense, evidence collection, narcotics and more. Meetings are set for every Tuesday night from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The academy itself is open to residents and employees in the Hamilton Southeastern School District. Participants must be at least 16-years-old. Apply at fishers.in.us/police or at FPD. Applications are accepted until Sept. 14.
