Local students enroll at University of Evansville

The University of Evansville is proud to announce that the following local students have enrolled at the University:

Emily Denne of Zionsville, majoring in Art

Kaitlin Koenig of Zionsville, majoring in Literature

Kristen Long of Zionsville, majoring in Music Therapy

Kelly Mc Knight of Zionsville, majoring in Nursing

These students join an entering class defined by its strong academic ability and diversity. Members of the freshman class averaged 1176 on the SAT’s critical reading and math components. (The national average, as reported by SAT, is 1011.) They also scored an average of 26 on the ACT, compared to a national average of 21. Members of the University of Evansville’s 2012 entering class represent 31 states and 17 countries.

Founded in 1854 and located in Evansville, Indiana, the University of Evansville offers nationally renowned programs in liberal arts and preprofessional disciplines for its student body of approximately 2,400 full-time undergraduates. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked UE in the top 10 master’s-granting institutions in the Midwest, as well as the top 3 “Great Schools at Great Prices.” The University also has been named a “Best in the Midwest” by The Princeton Review, ranked among the top master’s universities by Washington Monthly, and declared one of the nation’s “Coolest Schools” for sustainability by Sierra Magazine.
