Why did you become a teacher? I had an amazing high school art teacher named Miss B who inspired me to go into art. I knew I wanted a career where I could share my love of art and also impact the lives of young people, so it was a natural fit!
What goals do you have for your students? To develop a life-long appreciation of art, open doors to creative thinking and promote artistic confidence in each of my students.
What do you encourage parents to do at home to help their children strengthen particular skills? Ask what they did in class today. By sharing with you, it reinforces the concepts for them. Middle school kids truly love to hear themselves talk!
What is your favorite movie? “The Burbs” with Tom Hanks
Who is your favorite musician or band? John Lennon
What’s something your students might not know about you? I have a ridiculous fear of roller coasters.
