Carmel: Family Fun! At the Palladium

Noblesville: They Came From Mars and Landed Outside the Farndale Avenue Church Hall in Time for the Townswoman’s Guild’s Coffee Morning

The Farndale ladies are performing the story of a Martian who wants to steal the newly invented Roberta the Robot in order to learn what secret? Trouble is, the actress playing the robot has been accidentally dosed up with a handful of valium, the lady playing the leading man is stuck in the toilet with the runs, and everyone is having a bit of trouble with their lines. Ron Richards directs this comedy at The Belfry Theatre, 10690 Greenfield Ave. Times: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Cost: $15 for adults, $12 for children. Westfield: Groundhog Day Program

Why does this rodent deserve its own holiday? Come find out as Cool Creek Park and Nature Center, 2000 E. 151st St., celebrates Groundhog Day from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. Learn cultural history and folklore as well as the natural history about this local “furry friend.” Due to hibernation, no actual groundhogs will be in attendance.
