On March 9 a symposium will be held at the Convention Center – Bullying Prevention: Creating a Culture of Acceptance from 9 a.m.—6 p.m. with a special performance at 8 p.m. Through presentations from nationally renowned experts, motivational speakers, and local professionals and performances by nationally acclaimed artists and local talent, this symposium will heighten awareness, clarify misconceptions, and inspire action to prevent bullying in our community.

Be proactive and stand up against bullying and peer aggression.  Join together with artists, educators, parents, mental health professionals, youth workers, and community members to embrace a strong understanding of how to prevent bullying online, in your schools, and neighborhoods through the creation of a culture of acceptance. Special performances by Zach Wahls, author of My Two Moms, Christopher Eaves, a performing artist from New York City, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, ACT OUT, and the Picture This Players, as well as a number of informative break-out sessions by local and national presenters.  Teachers, counselors, social workers, and school psychologists have the opportunity to receive documentation for continuing education at end of program.  For a special group rate, please call 317-250-4765. Early registration fee is $75.
