The Boone County Council on Aging is sponsoring the “Outstanding Older Hoosier” award for Boone County on Wednesday, March 20. A luncheon and the announcement of the winner will begin at 12 noon at Boone County Senior Services, Inc., followed by a program to recognize previous winners. The Outstanding Older Hoosier of the Year award recognizes outstanding Hoosiers for their lifetime of service to their communities through both volunteer and/or professional achievement. The 2013 winner will represent Boone County in the Area 8 contest sponsored by CICOA-Aging & In-Home Solutions.Deadline for submission isMarch 1, 2013.
