Sharmila Paul, a Carmel High School junior, recently placed 10th in the National Brain Bee 2013 Championship. In January, Paul won the 2013 State Brain Bee Championship at IUPUI. Paul received an expense-paid trip for two to compete in the National Brain Bee at the University of Maryland. Two other Carmel students, Josh Segaran and Saiuth Malpeddi, finished second and third, respectively, at the state competition.
