The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring two workshops the first week of May at Cool Creek Park and MacGregor Park.

* The first workshop on Thursday, May 2nd will review drainage issues for homeowners. Spring rains bring wetness problems for yards, septic systems, crawl spaces and basements. We’ll review why some of the problems occur and how best to address them. The workshop will be held at Cool Creek Nature Center from 6:30 to 9:00 P.M.

* The second program is a natural resource walking tour of MacGregor Park on Saturday May 4th. We’ll meet at the parking lot and review a variety of resource issues including, soils, floodplains, stream erosion, wetlands, soil erosion, native habitat, invasive plants and forestry. This program will held from 8:30 to 11:00 on Saturday morning at MacGregor Park.
