City’s fireworks ordinance

With the upcoming Fourth of July holiday fast approaching, residents of the City of Noblesville are reminded of the ordinance that addresses legal fireworks usage within city limits. The ordinance states that consumer fireworks may only be used in the Noblesville city limits during the following days and times:

• Between the hours of 5 p.m. and two hours after sunset on June 29 and 30, July 1 through 3, and July 5 through 9

• Between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight on July 4

• Between the hours of 10 a.m. Dec. 31 and 1 a.m. Jan. 1

In addition, the ordinance states that a citizen may only shoot off fireworks on their private property. Shooting off fireworks on streets, in parks, etc., is prohibited. The public may report any violation of the fireworks ordinance by calling the Dispatch Center’s non-emergency line at 773-1300. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
