An Amber Alert was issued after 9 p.m. tonight regarding Fishers resident Sophia Snow, 8.
FPD detectives believe Snow is with her mother, Jennifer Ansari, 37, who could be staying with family members in Louisville, Ky., according to a news release.
After Ansari found out that she was going to lose custody of the child to her husband, she took Snow from their Fishers home, FPD said in the release.
The vehicle Ansari was last seen driving is a 2012 burgundy Honda Civic four-door passenger car with an Indiana license plate number of 779NZJ.
A Hamilton County Court ordered the child to be safely brought back to the father.
