What better way to show off Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre’s premier venue, exceptional community actors and its professional production team than when Civic performs Les Miserables in April and May? Civic’s fully-staged, costumed and orchestrated production of the acclaimed Broadway smash is a fitting keynote as Civic kicks off six months of celebration leading up to the start of its landmark 100th season.

Be sure to visit www.civictheatre.org to receive a one-time holiday honoring its 99th season. Purchase tickets to all three of our remaining shows, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, STEEL MAGNOLIAS and LES MISERABLES, for just $99. Or tickets to any single show may be had for just $33. This special offer begins on Thanksgiving Day and extends until the end of the day on Cyber Monday.

Tickets to the “little” theatre at the Center for the Performing Arts are perfect for gift exchanges, stocking stuffers and that special person on your shopping list who has everything!

Conceived 99 years ago under the banner of the “Little Theatre Movement,” Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre is thoroughly vetted in terms of delivering a memorable experience for audiences. The Little Theatre Movement grew from the conviction that Broadway shows would be most enjoyable when staged in “little” 500-seat theatres, a size that best showcases technique, story line and production value. Like the Little Theatre Movement, Civic blossomed and has fostered the development of hundreds of actors and plays, standing tall as a pillar of artistic and educational attainment in Indiana.

All 99 years of Civic’s production experience will be on display during LES MISERABLES from April 25 to May 10.

If you haven’t been to the Tarkington, our “little” 500-seat theatre at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, including our education and rehearsal suites, feel free to call for a tour. We love showing off our top-notch facilities.

The Tarkington is strategically nestled between the Monon Greenway and 3rd Avenue SW, just south of the Palladium, and is served by a five-story parking garage. Impressively, the proscenium at the Tarkington is 42 feet wide and 24 feet tall with a distance from plaster line to back wall of 44 feet. The stage is remarkably versatile, and is served by unmatched fly systems, catwalks, lighting and sound systems, full trap room, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, costume shop, rehearsal space and theatre education classrooms.
