McDonald’s will provide assistance to local American Red Cross emergency shelters today, in partnership with Uber Indianapolis. After Sunday’s heavy snowfall, thousands of Indiana residents were left without power, causing emergency shelters to pop up across the state.
McDonald’s of Central Indiana will visit several of the Indianapolis area American Red Cross emergency shelters this afternoon and evening to provide comfort with McDonald’s food, Happy Meal toys and blankets.
“Between the snowfall and extreme temperatures, we are happy to provide some comfort to our community,” said Bob Jedele, Owner of McDonald’s of Central Indiana Co-Op President.
Uber Indianapolis – an app that seamlessly connect riders and drivers – sponsored all the transportation for McDonald’s for the day.
