Tom Santelli has filed for Boone County Council District #1 covering Eagle 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Tom is on the May 2014 Republican Primary Ballot.

Tom Santelli is a 15-year resident of Zionsville.  His community involvement includes being a benefactor and employer for Noble of Indiana. He supports the Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center and has served on its board of directors. Tom is the President of the Traders Point Hunt and is very active in the Traders Point Charity Horse Show supporting Riley Children’s Hospital. Tom also works with at risk children.

His business experience includes management, director and vice presidential responsibilities for corporate planning, finance, capital management, domestic and international budgeting, strategic planning, marketing, RD&E, public and environmental affairs and economic development.

Tom has a MBA in Finance and Operations Research. His experience includes building and directing three state-of-the- art research and development centers for Fortune 500 companies.  He has designed, engineered and built glass, steel, wood, and paper mill operations, domestically and internationally for companies such as Owens-Illinois, Great Northern Nekoosa, Georgia-Pacific and Weyerhaeuser. Tom was integral in the development of ATM machines, fighter intercept systems, and the first solar powered high school, in the U.S. He has served in a number of Associations including American Forest and Paper Association, Fibre Box Association and the U. S. Chamber of Commerce.

Tom received The American Society for Training and Development Awards for Interactive Training Systems, implementing programs throughout the United States, Europe and China. He has been featured in CNN’s Science and Technology segments.

His work included Systems for Amazon, the US Veterans Consolidated Mail Out Patient Pharmacy, IKEA, the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, systems for the United States Postal Service, Medco, Anheuser Busch, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and other Fortune 500 companies.

Tom wants to serve on the Boone County Council using his multi-faceted business experience in budgeting, how we spend money, taxes, transportation, infrastructure, education, economic and business development.   He thinks Boone County should have the best living and business environment in Indiana. This can be achieved by intelligent fiscal management that focuses on innovative planning while prioritizing low business and residential taxes.
