The Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis reports that 7,100 people attended its recent Home-A-Rama in Westfield’s Brookside neighborhood. The Home-A-Rama included five custom-built, fully decorated and landscaped homes featuring the latest trends in design, decorating, technology, outdoor living and landscaping.

The five builders were Bedrock Builders, G&G Custom Homes, Heartwood Custom Homes, Hoss Homes and Showcase Collection by M/I Homes. All attendees were asked to vote for their favorite home and the People’s Choice Award went to the home built by G&G Custom Homes, Joe Garcia with 36 percent of the votes. Officials said the remaining votes were split rather evenly amongst the other four homes, proving that the show had wide appeal to all attendees.

“We are very pleased with the solid numbers and the positive feedback we’ve received about this year’s show,” stated BAGI CEO Steve Lains. “Our builders worked extremely hard over the past year to create these masterpiece homes and we are all excited that the hard work has paid off.”

Officials said out of the five show homes, two of the homes are sold (G&G Custom Homes and Heartwood Homes) and the other three homes are either in negotiations on a sale or are talking with interested homebuyers. During the show, Brookside developer Jim Langston obtained nine lot reservation and is confident he will receive an additional three or four within the next few weeks.

“Most importantly, these shows generate activity for the building and construction industry as a whole,” stated Lains. “The buzz we saw at this year’s show is a great indicator of what lies ahead for the housing industry in Central Indiana.”

Planning has already begun on the 2015 Home-A-Rama, which will be in Carmel’s Town Oak Estates in June 2015.
