Staff report

During the evenings of June 30 and July 1, INDOT crews plan to close lanes of U.S. 31 between 116th Street and Old Meridian Street in order to install an underground storm drainage structure across the highway.

After 8 p.m. June 30, the northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 31 will be closed until approximately 6 a.m. July 1.

During the same hours the night of July 1, the southbound lanes of U.S. 31 will be closed in the same area.

Access to and from U.S. 31 will be maintained via 116th Street. Motorists are encouraged to use local roads, such as Illinois and Pennsylvania streets to avoid these lane closures.
