The Indiana Fire Juniors are hosting the Grand Park Cup Soccer Tournament in Westfield for youth soccer teams ages U8-U14 on Aug. 30 and 31. The event features 150 teams – 100 local teams and 50 visiting teams from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Officials said the event is anticipated to attract 2,000 athletes and 6,000 spectators. Games take place from 8 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 30 and from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Aug. 31.
“We’re excited to host the Grand Park Cup this coming weekend. It’s a winning combination when a tournament includes a large number of local teams in addition to visiting teams from other states,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook.
