Betty L. Taylor, 84 of Carmel, passed away, September 29, 2014.

Betty was born January 31, 1930 in Greenhill, IN to the late Earl and Alma Amstutz.

She married Jack E. Taylor on March 24, 1951 and was a homemaker to their family as they traveled around the country for Jack’s career.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 60 years, Jack Taylor; children, Gary L., Gregory L., Debra L., and James E. Taylor; grandchildren, Sherique L. Williams, Joseph C. Taylor, Tracey A. Maxson, Jackson E. Taylor, Nathaniel J. Taylor, and Cameron W.P. Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Doris L. Moore, and Ruby W. Frantz.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon E. Amstutz; sisters, Violet Line and Aldine Gellenbeck, and one granddaughter.

Friends and family will gather from 4 until 7 pm, Friday, October 3 in Leppert Mortuary – Carmel.

The Funeral Service will be 10 am Saturday, October 4 in the Leppert Mortuary – Carmel, with calling one hour prior to the time of the service.  Burial following in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Arcadia, IN.
