The new St. George Orthodox Church at 10748 E. 116th St. in Fishers held its first festival at its new location on Sept. 11-12. The church sponsored the former “Middle Eastern Festival of Indianapolis” for 16 years at its old location on Sherman Drive in Indianapolis. Spokesmen report that it was a great success and the turnout exceeded their expectations. Estimates of attendance are between 5,000 and 6,000.
