An 8-inch water main that broke on Oct. 3 on Gray Road between 96th and 106th Streets in Carmel was repaired by 2 a.m. Oct. 4.

According to an official release from the city, the break caused significant damage to the northbound lane that must be repaired.

Crews will be working on the road Monday and Tuesday and hope to have all lanes open by Wednesday, weather permitting.

City officials caution drivers, noting that whiles the roadway is under repair, drivers should use caution and expect delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and possibly rerouted.
